Essential Oils for the office

If you work in an office space, the feeling of seasons changing can be daunting with circulated air conditioning and the distant cough of a colleague.

An article written by Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, highlights that Women are often left feeling cold more than men due to the air conditioning standards in Australia. 

But what can essential oils do about this? 

What are essential oils?

a natural oil typically obtained by distillation and having the characteristic odour of the plant or other source from which it is extracted.

What essential oils can I use when the seasons change?

(I personally use Doterra essential oils as the quality is outstanding and there are no sneaky additives) 

Here is a list of the best essential oils and how to use them when the season are changing and your stuck working in an office. 

  • Lemon
    Lemon essential oil can be used as a surface cleaning product and it smells great. 
    You can mix it in a bottle with some white vinegar and water and have it on your desk at work to spray your mouse, phone and key board and keep those germs at bay. 
  • Peppermint 
    Mixing a few drops of peppermint with the base oil of your choice (Such as coconut oil) into a roller bottle. 
    Apply as needed to the temples and behind the neck for headache relief. 
  • Eucalyptus & Tea Tree
    Place a few drops in the diffuser on your desk. 
    (Make sure to speak with colleagues before doing this to ensure no one has any allergies)
